Last February, Bobby Lashley began a storyline with Bray Wyatt. Lashley was supposed to compete against Wyatt at this year’s WrestleMania. However, the match was canceled after Wyatt’s health issue. The Almighty then entered the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and won the match.

Bobby Lashley competed on the May 12th episode of SmackDown, where he faced AJ Styles in the semi-finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Lashley was unable to win the match. He then disappeared from WWE television.

Fightful Select reported that Bobby Lashley has been advertised for the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

“Bobby Lashley hasn’t wrestled since the World Heavyweight Title tournament, but is advertised locally for Friday’s WWE Smackdown.”

WWE has announced the following segments and matches for this week’s SmackDown.

  • Roman Reigns returns to the blue brand
  • Charlotte Flair will appear on The Grayson Waller Effects
  • Mixed Tag Team Match: AJ Styles & Mia Yim vs. Karrion Kross vs. Scarlett
  • Tag Team Gauntlet Match to determine the No. 1 contenders for Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles: Brawling Brutes vs. Street Profits vs. LWO vs. Pretty Deadly
