This past Saturday, Bad Bunny faced Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight at Backlash. During the match, Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio attacked Bunny. However, Carlito and Savio Vega along with LWO members helped the Puerto Rican rapper. Bunny hit a Canadian Destroyer on Priest to win the match.

Following the match, Bad Bunny posted an Instagram story and thanked the fans. Here’s the translation of his statement. “I’m still processing this, words can’t describe what I felt that day it was a dream. Thank you Puerto Rico, you were the real stars both nights”

Bad Bunny has competed on WWE television three times (WrestleMania 37, 2022 Royal Rumble, and Backlash). On each occasion, Bunny received huge praise from the fans and the management.

In an interview with UnSKripted, Savio Vega stated that WWE has an idea about Bad Bunny competing at this year’s SummerSlam.

“This kid has two full matches, One at WrestleMania, and this singles match against Damian Priest. He’s natural. You know, they take him step by step all the way to the end, but he has the mentality. He has the power, he’s hungry for that. He loves it, he wants to make it good… He has it, and I hear they’re maybe talking about SummerSlam for him. They know what they’re going to do. But Bad Bunny hit the ball out of the park.”

SummerSlam is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 5th from the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
