Bobby Lashley won the United States Championship for the third time in his WWE career after defeating Theory at WWE Money in the Bank premium live event. Also, The Almighty successfully defended his US Title at SummerSlam and this past Monday Night RAW. On the other hand, Intercontinental Champion Gunther is a powerhouse wrestler like Bobby Lashley.
While speaking with Rick Ucchino on the Bleav in Pro Wrestling podcast, Bobby Lashley was asked about the possibility of facing Gunther. The three-time US Champion said he would like to fight against Gunther.
I love a fight. And he’s on my radar, of course. He’s been doing some good things and I like him. I like his energy. I like his attitude. I mean, that to me is a fight that I like. That’s the kind of thing that I like. Those are things that I’m here for. Ever since he’s been in, everybody’s been talking to me. I’ve been getting tweets of Gunter, Gunter, Gunther, and I’ve been watching this guy. So I think it would be a good opportunity for us to kind of like mingle, get a little match in.
Bobby Lashley said that if Gunther chops him, it won’t hurt him, but it will hurt Gunther’s hand.
I don’t even think it’ll hurt me. He’s chopping people and knocking them down. I think he’ll chop me and it’ll hurt his hand.
US Champion Bobby Lashley vs. IC Champion Gunther match could happen at this year’s WWE Survivor Series premium live event.
