Last Saturday, Young Bucks faced The Golden Jets (Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega) in a Tag Team match at Full Gear. Matt and Nick Jackson were unable to win the bout and also lost their AEW World Tag Team Titles opportunity.
Recently, Brandon Cutler stated on X that Young Bucks would be taking time off from wrestling. Cutler noted in another post that Matt and Nick Jackson weren’t at backstage AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer confirmed Brandon Cutler’s statement and noted that Young Bucks will come back as heels to make a major impact. The former AEW Tag Team Champions wanted to create a heel faction along with Brandon Cutler. Colt Cabana has also been discussed as being added to the group.
“They look to be doing a heel group with Brandon Cutler. Colt Cabana’s name has been mentioned but that doesn’t appear to be a certainty.
The idea is for them to take some time off and come back as heels with major impact. It’s in the beginning stages and there’s no known time frame on when they will pull the trigger on it and they will return.”
