Xavier Woods last competed at WWE Live Event in Atlanta, Georgia on December 27, where he teamed with Kofi Kingston and Madcap Moss to face Imperium. The New Day and Moss were able to win the match.
This past Friday on SmackDown, Kofi Kingston faced Santos Escobar in a singles match. Kingston’s tag team partner Woods was cheering at the ringside area. The former King of the Ring winner also appeared along with Kofi Kingston on this weekend’s live events.
PWInsider reported that Xavier Woods isn’t medically cleared to compete which is why he was at the ringside area all the time. The backstage official expects that Woods will be cleared to compete by the end of this month.
“PWInsider.com is told Xavier Woods is banged up and not yet 100% cleared, which is why New Day hasn’t been seen more inside the ring. The expectation internally is that he should be good to go by Royal Rumble, if not sooner. Woods worked in Kofi Kingston’s corner at last night’s live event in Huntsville, Alabama.”
