Shinsuke Nakamura last competed on the January 22nd WWE Live Event, where he teamed with Braun Strowman and Madcap Moss to defeat Imperium. Nakamura’s last televised match took place on the November 11th episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Many fans questioned Shinsuke Nakamura’s status with the company due to his long absence. Last month, Dave Meltzer reported that Nakamura’s WWE plans are on hold.

PWInsider reported that Shinsuke Nakamura is scheduled to return for SmackDown soon.

Here’s the updated lineup for tonight’s SmackDown.

  • Triple H will address the fans.
  • The new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will appear.
  • The new SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley will appear.
  • Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar vs. Dominik Mysterio & Damian Priest in a Tag Team match.
  • Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland & Butch) vs. Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
