WWE Royal Rumble premium live event is scheduled to take place this Saturday from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Five matches are confirmed for the event.
Apart from Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble Matches, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair will defend their titles on the show. Also, the company announced a unique bout called “Pitch Black Match” for the match between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight.
Royal Rumble airs at 8 p.m. ET and the kickoff show begins one hour before the main card at 7 p.m. Fans in the United States has able to watch the show on Peacock and others can watch the event on WWE Network as usual.
Here are the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Predictions.
Bianca Belair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship
Last week, Alexa Bliss interrupted Bianca Belair in the middle of the promo on Monday Night RAW. Belair then gave Bliss another RAW Women’s Title opportunity at Royal Rumble PLE. However, both women attacked each other in that episode of RAW. Meanwhile, Uncle Howdy appeared at the exit door and distracted Belair.
This past Monday on RAW, Bianca Belair defeated Sonya Deville in a singles match. Following the bout, Alexa Bliss appeared on the screen and issued a warning to Belair.
The whole storyline is built up for Alexa Bliss to reunite with Bray Wyatt. At this moment, winning the RAW Women’s Title is pointless for Bliss. The EST will be approaching one year mark as WWE RAW Women’s Champion in WrestleMania weekend. Therefore, changing the title during WrestleMania season isn’t a good idea. Our Prediction: Bianca Belair retains her RAW Women’s Championship.
Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight in a Pitch Black Match
Last year, Bray Wyatt made his return to WWE at Extreme Rules premium live event. Wyatt then began his first rivalry against LA Knight after returning to the company. Knight slapped Wyatt two times on SmackDown and then he was mysteriously attacked by Uncle Howdy. The storyline became more and more intriguing because of Uncle Howdy.
This past Monday on RAW, Bray Wyatt hit Sister Abigail on Knight with some help from The Undertaker. The whole storyline is built to reunite Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss. LA Knight showcased his incredible mic skill and talent in this storyline.
As of this writing, WWE didn’t explain anything about what the Pitch Black Match is. Whatever the match type is, there’s no way Bray Wyatt losing his first television match since returning to the company. Our Prediction: Bray Wyatt wins the match.
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship
The match between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens had been built before Survivor Series WarGames. Owens said that he wants to face Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title since November.
This week on WWE RAW, The Bloodline held a tribal court for Sami Zayn’s trial. Zayn was “found not guilty for now.” During the segment, Reigns told Zayn to go home and show up at Royal Rumble. Therefore, Honorary Uce will play a major role in this bout.
Royal Rumble is the opportunity for Sami Zayn to show his loyalty to Roman Reigns or Kevin Owens. Whatever happened, Reigns shouldn’t lose the title at Royal Rumble. Our Prediction: Roman Reigns retains his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Women’s Royal Rumble Match
As of this writing, there are only twelve women declared their participants for the Women’s Royal Rumble match, which means fans could see a lot of surprise returns.
In the past few months, Rhea Ripley was built as modern-day Chyna. Ripley’s storyline with Dominik Mysterio still going strong. This could be Dominik’s Mami’s moment. Our Prediction: Rhea Ripley wins the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Men’s Royal Rumble Match
This will be the most confusing Royal Rumble match in WWE history. In the past few years, the winner of the Rumble match was obvious. However, this year is a lot different.
Earlier this month, WWE aired a series of vignettes about Cody Rhodes’ return. The American Nightmare confidently said that he will return at Royal Rumble and is focused on winning the “WWE Championship.”
Sami Zayn is now a few inches away from kicking out of the Bloodline. Therefore, many fans expect Zayn to win the Royal Rumble.
There are rumors circulating on social media regarding Steve Austin and The Rock will be at Royal Rumble. Seth Rollins also has unfinished business with Cody Rhodes. Therefore, this year’s Royal Rumble match is unpredictable. Our Prediction: Cody Rhodes win the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
