WWE Reportedly Promoted Creative Team Member To Head Writer For SmackDown

John Swikata, a long-time WWE creative writer, has been promoted to lead writer for SmackDown as of earlier this week, Fightful Select reported. Swikata has replaced Ryan Callahan, who has departed WWE.

A source within WWE told Fightful Select that Swikata has already made a ‘huge impact’, pointing to the creative direction seen on this past Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
