WWE Reportedly Given Strict Instructions To Talents Following Vince McMahon Allegations

On Thursday, Vince McMahon made headlines after former employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against him, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. Grant alleged that McMahon abused and used her to secure talent deals. You can read more by clicking here.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted that WWE advised talent not to discuss McMahon’s case publicly.

“The WWE did not respond to questions regarding the suit. WWE talent was told to lay low and not talk about anything other than the Royal Rumble or storyline-related things.”

TKO Group Holdings issued a statement on Janel Grant’s allegation. The company stated, “Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. While this matter pre-dates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.”

Vince McMahon’s side also broke their silence about the trafficking lawsuit. A spokesperson stated that “this lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself.”
