WWE pitched several opponents for Brock Lesnar In the past several months including Gunther. However, WWE management ultimately decided Omos should face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39. The Beast picked up the victory at the Showcase of the Immortals last Sunday.
Recently, Gunther appeared on the Rob Brown Show, where he expressed his interest in facing Brock Lesnar down the line. “I’ve been portrayed as the end boss in wrestling for a lot of guys, but I think Brock could be my end boss. I really hope the match goes down at some point.”
WKRD Wrestling reported that the WWE management discussed the idea of Brock Lesnar facing Gunther at SummerSlam.
“While Gunther has publicly stated during interviews that he’d like a match with Brock Lesnar, the idea has been floated backstage to potentially have them face off sometime this summer.”
Last week on RAW, Brock Lesnar turned heel and attacked Cody Rhodes before their Tag Team match began. This past Monday on RAW, Cody Rhodes challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at Backlash PLE. The Beast will be answered the challenge on the upcoming RAW.
