In the closing moment of the match, the two followers of Schism attacked Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid. D’Angelo delivered a Side Slam on Fowler to retain the titles.
Blair Davenport defeated Dana Brooke in a singles match.
Trick Williams defeated Drew Gulak after hitting a Spinning Kick.
In a backstage segment, Rhea Ripley and Dominik challenged Lyra Valkyria and Dragon Lee to a Tag Team match next Tuesday.
Wes Lee became the No.1 contender for the NXT Championship by defeating Dijak.
The match between Tyler Bate and Joe Coffey ended in a No Contest after Dabbo-Kato’s interference.
Jacy Jayne defeated Thea Hail with a roll-up pin.
In the final segment, Carmelo Hayes and Wes Lee signed the contract ahead of their NXT Title match at Heatwave.
According to Nielsen via SpoilerTV, the August 15th episode of WWE NXT drew 680,000 viewers on USA Network and a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (August 8) drew 776,000 viewers on USA Network a 0.23 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
