Nikkita Lyons joined WWE in the summer of 2021. Lyons made her WWE NXT debut on the February 22nd episode of NXT, where she defeated Kayla Inlay. She then became one of the rising stars in NXT.
This past Tuesday, WWE NXT aired footage of Nikkita Lyons getting attacked by a mystery person in a parking lot. She was spotted clutching her knee while screaming in pain. It was an angle to write her off from NXT television.
Today, the 23-year-old star issued a statement on Twitter and revealed that she has suffered a torn ACL and Meniscus which means Lyons will be out of action for several months. In her tweet, she thanked fans who supported her consistently.
“ACL & Meniscus are torn. This comeback is personal. Thank you to all who consistently show love & genuine support. it means the world to me. Those of you who don’t see the vision, thank you too. Stay ya a** right there. This is just another lesson life needed to teach. Love.”
