WWE Not Allowed To Use Jey Uso’s “Yeet” Catchphrase Due To Legal Issues

WWE Not Allowed To Use Jey Uso's "Yeet" Catchphrase Due To Legal Issues

Last October, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at Fastlane.

The duo appeared at the Fastlane post-show press conference and made it the most entertaining press conference of all time. Jey Uso also made his “Yeet” catchphrase popular while answering the media. Unfortunately, WWE will no longer be able to use “Yeet” going forward.

WrestleVotes reported that WWE won’t allow the use of “Yeet” due to a trademark issue. Therefore, the popular catchphrase will no longer be associated with Jey Uso.

“As evident on RAW just now, I’m told WWE has found trademark issues with Jey Uso’s “Yeet.” The word & merchandising will no longer be associated with Uso going forward.”

The word “Yeet” was trademarked by Kassey Scott Huffman with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on July 6, 2021. Kasey Huffman is a pro wrestler from West Virginia.
