WWE Has A Plan To Reform A Tag Team To Challenge Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

This past Monday on RAW, Tommaso Ciampa made his return to WWE after nine months of absence. Ciampa accepted The Miz’s open challenge. He defeated Miz after hitting the Fairytale Ending.

This week’s RAW was held in Cleveland, Ohio, which was Johnny Gargano’s hometown. Therefore, many fans expected Gargano’s return as well. However, that didn’t happen. Fightful Select noted that Gargano was backstage at this week’s RAW.

WRKD Wrestling reported that WWE management has a plan to reform DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa’s team in NXT) on the main roster. WRKD Wrestling also noted that DIY will start a storyline with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens that will lead to an Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles match.

“While Johnny Gargano was noticeably absent from #WWERaw, fans saw the return of Ciampa.

As we’ve reported in the past, there are still plans in the works to reform #DIY.

We can now add current plans have this leading to a feud with Owens/Zayn over the tag titles.”
