Last October, WWE completely changed its announcer team after Pat McAfee left for ESPN’s College GameDay. Kevin Patrick became the RAW play-by-play commentator. Byron Saxton was transferred from the commentary booth to conduct backstage interviews.
Today, WWE made a few changes to the role of backstage interviewers. Variety reported that Jackie Redmond will serve as a backstage interviewer for the red brand alongside Byron Saxton. WWE has given additional opportunities for Redmond to showcase her talent. She will be the co-host of WWE PLE’s Kick-Off shows alongside Kayla Braxton, Booker T, and Pete Rosenberg. Jackie Redmond will also continue to do studio work for the company.
Variety also noted that Cathy Kelley has been drafted to SmackDown. Kelley and Kayla Braxton will conduct backstage interviews for the blue brand. Megan Morant will host RAW Talk, SmackDown LowDown, and the international shows for WWE television. Morant will also host the WWE RAW sidecast on Twitch.
