Today, WWE announced that Payback premium live event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 2nd at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This will be the first time that WWE will host a premium live event in Pittsburgh. Tickets for the event go on sale Tuesday, June 27th at 10 am ET.
“STAMFORD, Conn., June 16, 2023 – WWE® (NYSE: WWE) today announced that WWE Payback will take place Saturday, September 2 from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. It marks the first premium live event to emanate from Pittsburgh in five years. WWE Payback will stream live exclusively on Peacock in the U.S. and WWE Network everywhere else.

The last time WWE held a Payback PLE was in 2020. In that event, Roman Reigns began his dominant title reign. He captured the Universal Championship by defeating The Fiend and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat match.
