Wheeler Yuta Reportedly Removed From Upcoming CMLL Event

Wheeler Yuta Reportedly Removed From Upcoming CMLL Event

Wheeler Yuta is currently sidelined with an injury. Yuta last competed on the January 12th episode of AEW Rampage, where he lost to Eddie Kingston for the Continental Crown Championship.

The ROH Pure Champion was supposed to team up with Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Jon Moxley to face Último Guerrero, Blue Panther, Volador Jr., and Mistico in an Eight-Man Tag Team match at CMLL’s Homenaje a Dos Leyendas this Friday. However, he was pulled from the match.

PWInsider reported that Wheeler Yuta is still not medically cleared to compete at the CMLL event this week. Therefore, Matt Sydal will replace Yuta in the bout.

“Wheeler Yuta has not been cleared to return, so he will not be competing Friday alongside the rest of The Blackpool Combat Club for CMLL in Mexico City. Matt Sydal will be teaming with Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Jon Moxley.”
