A few months ago, MJF and AEW President Tony Khan were involved in a huge controversy that led to MJF being suspended from AEW.
However, it appears that both MJF and Khan are on good terms right now. This Saturday, MJF faces the biggest match of his pro wrestling career. He is scheduled to wrestle Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear PPV.
Last night on AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley did a promo ahead of his match against MJF at Full Gear. All the members of The Firm then came to the ring and attacked Moxley and William Regal. MJF then came to the ring and saved them.
After AEW Dynamite went off the air, MJF addressed the fans at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. MJF praised Tony Khan for saving pro wrestling. However, he also said that he loves WWE in front of the AEW President.
“This sh*t is not ballet. Every time we get in this ring, we are risking our lives. Do you people understand that? We don’t take that lightly, and what I damn should never take lightly is somebody coming into my company, dropping their trousers, and taking a dump. That sh*t aren’t happening anymore because this is the place, and the only reason it’s here is because of Tony f**king Khan.
Without AEW professional wrestling is a monopoly and do not get me wrong. I love WWE trust me. I love WWE. However, hear me out. Hear me out. Your favorite wrestlers don’t get paid properly and don’t eat properly unless Tony Khan makes that alternative and I’m going to finish it with more honesty. Tony, I’m just gonna keep it real with you. I’m carrying this goddamn place in my bag. If I were you, I would pay up in the bidding war of 2024.”
