WATCH: Eight-Person Tag Team Match After SmackDown Went Off Air

Last few weeks, WWE held a SmackDown World Cup tournament to determine the no. 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Eight superstars from different countries competed in the tournament. The tournament’s final match took place last night’s SmackDown in Buffalo, New York.

In the main event of SmackDown, Ricochet wrestled Santos Escobar in the finals of the SmackDown World Cup. Ricochet won the match and he will challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship in two weeks, which is December 16th. During Ricochet’s celebration, Gunther came to confront Ricochet.

After SmackDown went off the air, Braun Strowman, Matt Riddle, Madcap Moss and Liv Morgan faced Damian Priest, Legado Del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro and Zelina Vega). In the closing moment of the match, Braun Strowman hit a running powerslam on Joaquin Wilder and pick up the victory.
