Last night on SmackDown, Braun Strowman faced Ricochet in the semi-final of the SmackDown World Cup Tournament. Ricochet won the match after Imperium distracted Strowman.
Following the match, Imperium attacked Braun Strowman. Ricochet then came to the ring and helped The Monster of All Monsters. Ricochet is scheduled to face Santos Escobar in the final of the SmackDown World Cup and the winner will receive an Intercontinental Championship opportunity against Gunther.
After SmackDown went off the air, Braun Strowman teamed with Ricochet and faced The Imperium. In the closing moment of the match, Strowman hit a running powerslam on Giovanni Vinci to pick up the victory.
