VP Of Marketing Fired From TNA Wrestling

Lou D’Angeli, the Vice President of Marketing for Anthem Sports & Entertainment, was fired from the company this past week, according to PWInsider. D’Angeli joined TNA Wrestling in 2022 as a consultant before holding the VP of Marketing role.

PWInsider noted that Lou D’Angeli played a key role in bringing Trinity (Naomi) to the company last year. They added that the relationship between D’Angeli and TNA had been fraying in recent months. PWInsider noted, “D’Angeli had been, for a long period of time, trying to get TNA to break from their normal schedule of running the same cities on back-to-back nights but management never pulled the trigger on that strategy.”

A source told PWInsider that the company’s ticket sales have grown year over year under D’Angeli’s leadership. PWInsider further noted that the wrestlers’ response to D’Angeli’s departure was a mixture of disbelief and sadness.
