Last year, RK-Bro was the hottest thing on WWE television. In June, Orton took a hiatus from WWE which made a huge impact on Riddle’s career.

Riddle had a storyline with Seth Rollins after losing WWE RAW Tag Team Titles to The Usos. The King of Bros was supposed to face Rollins at SummerSlam but the match was postponed to Clash at the Castle PLE. It was later revealed that Riddle has failed a drug test in July.

Last December, Matt Riddle failed another drug test and was suspended from WWE indefinitely. He was then entered into rehab. WWE did an injury angle to write him off from television.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Matt Riddle’s suspension is over and technically he could return at any time. But Riddle isn’t on the WrestleMania 39 card. Therefore, WWE would be holding his return until WrestleMania is over.

“His suspension should have been up already so either he’ll make an appearance… sometimes if you’re not on the WrestleMania card…they just delay their return until after Mania. I don’t know if that’s the case, he may show up next week or whatever. But he was suspended, his suspension is now over.”

Recently, Matt Riddle posted a video clip of him listening to the “Freedom Isn’t Free” song.
