Update On Kota Ibushi After Undergoing Surgery

By The Spotlight StaffJanuary 18, 2024
Update On Kota Ibushi After Undergoing Surgery

Earlier this month, Kota Ibushi competed against Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH The New Year 2024. Ibushi suffered injuries to both ankles during the bout. However, he defeated Marufuji after wrestling for 33 minutes.

After the match, Kota Ibushi was transported to the hospital due to severe pain. He underwent surgery on Wednesday, January 17th.

On X, Kota Ibushi provided an update after the surgery. The Golden Star stated that he’s dealing with a shoulder injury and hoping to fix it as well.

“The report was delayed. It appears that the ligament had been completely torn (there were already fewer ligaments in other places), so I was completely immobilized in a cast that came down to just below my knee.
Next, I will decide what to do with the left side, and the right one will be coming back every two weeks.
My shoulder isn’t in perfect condition either, so I’m planning to fix everything this time.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
I would like to think about various things later.”

pic.twitter.com/Dj9qF5xp94
