Update On Damian Priest Following WWE Clash At The Castle Injury Scare

Update On Damian Priest Following WWE Clash At The Castle Injury Scare

This past Saturday, Damian Priest defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre in the main event of Clash at the Castle. Priest was able to retain the title after CM Punk attacked McIntyre.

At one point during the match, El Campeón attempted to hit a springboard dive on the Scottish Warrior. Damien Priest’s leg got caught between the middle rope and the top rope, and he was stuck for a few minutes. Priest was then seen limping throughout the match but was able to finish the bout as planned.

During the Clash at the Castle post-show press conference, Damian Priest said the following:

“It [knee] feels like trash right now. I didn’t even go to medical yet, so I could do this and talk to you guys and answer your questions, so you’re all welcome. Docs will check it out, but I ain’t going anywhere.”

Fightful Select reported that “the initial word from backstage in WWE was that Damian Priest was fine following Clash at the Castle match.” They also noted that Priest received a lot of praise from WWE officials.
