Triple H Offered William Regal A Vice President Role In WWE

Two weeks ago, William Regal was attacked by MJF on AEW Dynamite and Regal was then stretchered out of the arena. The following week on AEW Dynamite, The company aired a pre-recorded video clip of Regal explaining the reason why he turned on Jon Moxley. Regal said that he wanted to teach Moxley the final lesson and which was “Always watch your back.”

During the ROH Final Battle media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan said that William Regal informed AEW legal not to renew the contract. Khan then agreed to Regal’s decision and gave him the release under a condition. You can read more details by clicking here.

PWInsider has reported that William Regal will be returning to WWE the first week of January. They also noted that the company offered Regal a Vice President role.

“WWE sources have confirmed William Regal has officially come to terms on his new position with the company and will start the first week of January.

We are told Regal will have a Vice President position in the company when he returns, but we have not heard what his official title/role will be.”
