Triple H Made Subtle Dig At Becky Lynch During SummerSlam Press Conference

Last April, Trish Stratus attacked Becky Lynch after losing the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Stratus won the first match in their feud at Night of Champions. The storyline was supposed to end at SummerSlam. However, the match wasn’t added to the SummerSlam card.

Recently, Fightful Select reported that the Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus match would have been severely limited if it had happened at the show. Hence, WWE decided to move the bout to a future event.

However, Becky Lynch openly expressed her frustration after her match didn’t take place at The Biggest Party of the Summer. She tweeted the following before SummerSlam.

“Making lemonade with all these lemons I’ve been given.
What’s everyone else up to this weekend?!”

During the SummerSlam post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H stated that they can’t put everyone in the show. Triple H then made a subtle dig at Becky Lynch’s social media post.

“Sometimes those decisions aren’t going to make everybody happy. Sometimes people are going to have to take lemons and make lemonade.”
