Triple H Announces WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament

Triple H introduced the new World Heavyweight Championship on the April 24th episode of Monday Night RAW. The new title was exclusive to the red brand after Roman Reigns was drafted to SmackDown at the 2023 WWE Draft.

Today, WWE held a press conference before the Backlash premium live event. During the press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque revealed how the new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned.

Triple H announced that two Triple Threat matches will take place on the upcoming Monday Night RAW. Another two Triple Threat matches will also take place on the upcoming Friday Night SmackDown. The winners will face each other in the same show to advance to the final.

The final match will take place on Saturday, May 27th at Night of Champion PLE in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at Night of Champion.
