Tony Khan Reportedly Not Thrilled With WBD TV Rights Offer

All Elite Wrestling’s television rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery is set to expire this year. For months, AEW President Tony Khan didn’t provide any direct answers regarding the TV rights deal.

Matthew Belloni of PUCK News reported that AEW will be free to negotiate with other buyers after July. Belloni added that CEO of WBD David Zaslav and Chairman & CEO of TNT Sports Luis Silberwasser want to retain AEW Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. However, Tony Khan is not thrilled with WBD’s offer.

Belloni also noted that AEW President “surely knows that [Zaslav] losing the NBA would give AEW more leverage, even though the money to re-up AEW is a mere drop in the NBA bucket.”

AEW Dynamite’s rating is currently in the range of 700,000 to 750,000, while Collision and Rampage are below 500,000. Although, Dynamite is in the top 5 of cable shows most weeks.
