The 36th annual SummerSlam is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 5th, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. As of now, two matches have been announced for the show.
Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor while Cody Rhodes will face Brock Lesnar in a tiebreaker match. A few more storylines are currently developing for SummerSlam. Those bouts will announce for the event within the next few days.
PWInsider reported that WWE Hall of Famer Undertaker will be in Detroit for Summerslam weekend. They also noted that the “One Deadman show” won’t take place on the weekend.
“The Undertaker is slated to be in Detroit for Summerslam weekend, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Of note, the WWE Hall of Famer is not slated to perform his One Deadman Show in Detroit the weekend of 8/4.”
SummerSlam is the first premium live event to take place in the United States since WrestleMania 39. The Phenom was spotted backstage several PLEs in the past.
