The storyline between Edge and Finn Balor started last May when Edge was kicked out of The Judgement Day after Balor joined the faction. The two superstars faced each other in an “I Quit” match at Extreme Rules last October. Balor won the bout after forcing Edge to say the words “I Quit.”
Last January, Edge made his return during the men’s Royal Rumble match and attacked the Judgement Day members. The WWE Hall of Famer then challenged Finn Balor to a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania Goes Hollywood on the March 13th episode of Monday Night RAW. Balor accepted the challenge and teased Edge would face “The Demon” Finn Balor at the Showcase of the Immortals.
This past Monday on RAW, WWE aired a segment of Edge where he hinted that Finn Balor would face the Brood version of Edge at WrestleMania 39.
PWInsider reported that the Attitude Era star Gangrel is scheduled for WrestleMania 39. Gangrel will be a part of Edge’s entrance and potentially involved in a spot with Damian Priest.
