Shinsuke Nakamura Comments On Kazuchika Okada Leaving NJPW

Last month, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that Kazuchika Okada was leaving the company. Okada’s contract with NJPW ended on January 31st, but he agreed to compete in three events this month.

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Shinsuke Nakamura was asked about Kazuchika Okada leaving NJPW. Nakamura said the following:

“How do you view your life, who you are, and what you want to become? Only you can make that decision, so the courage to take the step that Okada took… I feel like [Antonio] Inoki when I say it, but once you’ve taken the step, you have no choice but to go on. Of course, I will support him, and if there is anything I can do, I will do it.”

Shinsuke Nakamura joined WWE in 2016. After a successful run in NXT, Nakamura made his main roster debut in 2017. King of Strong Style said that he had to face a lot of obstacles after he left NJPW, and he doesn’t want to see that happen to Okada.

“That’s part of it, and also the invisible procedures. There were a lot of hardships I had to go through that I should not have had to go through. I don’t want them to have to go through that, and I hope they will be spoiled.”
