Shelton Benjamin Released From WWE

Fightful Select reported that Shelton Benjamin has been released by WWE. Benjamin returned to WWE on the August 22, 2017 episode of SmackDown. In 2020, Benjamin became part of The Hurt Business. The faction carried the company during the pandemic era.

Shelton Benjamin last competed on the September 11th WWE Main Event, where he teamed with Cedric Alexander to face The Viking Raiders. However, Benjamin and Alexander were unable to win the match.

The 48-year-old star issued the following statement on X.

“I have been released from my wwe contract. I thank @wwe staff , talent, and of course the fans for Everything. Something ends, something new Begins. Looking forward to my next Chapter”
