Samantha Irvin Explains Why She Left WWE

Last Monday, Samantha Irvin announced her departure from WWE after working for the company for three years. Many fans thought Irvin left the company to pursue a music career.

On Instagram, the 35-year-old revealed the actual reason for leaving WWE. In a response to a fan, Samantha Irvin stated she did not like to work as a ring announcer. Irvin added that she wanted to be an onscreen manager or GM, but WWE did not give her the opportunity.

“I don’t like announcing.”

“I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become a general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action, but I don’t love being an announcer”
