Roman Reigns last appeared on WWE television on the April 3rd episode of WWE RAW. This past Monday, Paul Heyman announced that his Tribal Chief will return to the upcoming SmackDown.

However, Roman Reigns won’t be competing this Saturday at Backlash PLE. Reigns is scheduled to compete at Night of Champions but his opponent hasn’t decided yet. WrestleVotes reported that “Vince McMahon has pitched several ideas for Roman Reigns’ next challenger. A few of them were even kind of scoffed at, like that hat doesn’t make any sense.”

Tribal Chief is scheduled to compete in back-to-back premium live events. Money in the Bank will take place on Saturday, July 1st at the O2 Arena in London, England. Initially, Roman Reigns wasn’t advertised for the show. However, as of now, WWE included Reigns in the list of superstars that compete at the event. Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch also have advertised for Money in the Bank PLE.
