Last night’s SmackDown was mainly built around Jey Uso. However, the show featured a lot of interesting segments. Asuka was presented with the brand-new WWE Women’s Championship during the show. However, Charlotte Flair interrupted the segment and challenged Asuka to a match for the title. The match was made official and will take place three weeks later on SmackDown.
The Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler challenged NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn to a title unification match. The bout will take place two weeks later on SmackDown.
In a backstage segment, Pretty Deadly, Brawling Brutes, LWO, and The Street Profits demanded an Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles match from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Adam Pearce then said that a Tag Team Gauntlet match will take place next week to determine the No.1 contenders for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles.
Bayley defeated “Michin” Mia Yim to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank. After the match, Scarlett blew red dust in the face of AJ Styles who joined on the commentary. Karrion Kross then put a Kross Jacket on the Phenomenal One. AJ Styles & Mia Yim will face Karrion Kross & Scarlett in a Mixed Tag Team match next Friday.
Charlotte Flair will appear on Grayson Waller’s Grayson Waller Effect next week.
WWE announced that The Tribal Chief will appear on next week’s SmackDown. Paul Heyman said that Roman Reigns wanted Jey Uso as his successor. In the main event, Jimmy accidentally hit a Superkick on his brother. Following the match, Jey left alone Jimmy in the ring.
