Robert Roode Explains Reason For His Absence From WWE

Robert Roode was last seen on WWE television on the April 1st episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where he competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Roode then disappeared from WWE television for a few weeks. Back in May, Glorious One made his return to compete at a live event and his last match took place on June 25th WWE Live Event against Omos.

According to Roode’s latest Instagram post, he has been absent from WWE due to an injury. Roode posted several photos on Instagram and mentioned that he went to Birmingham, Alabama to receive treatment. Roode did not provide more details but he thanked Southlake Orthopaedics, Andrews Sports Medicine, and a few other doctors for taking care of him.

“Heading home after what is hoped to be a successful trip to Birmingham AL. Big thank you to @southlakeortho and @andrews_sports_medicine for taking great care of me this week

Especially to the first class medical staff of Dr Micheal Ellerbusch , Dr Andrew Cordover and Dr Charles Carnel.“
