Last year, Big E suffered a broken neck on the March 11th, 2022 episode of SmackDown due to Ridge Holland’s Belly to Belly Suplex. Holland received numerous negative comments on social media after that unfortunate incident. The former Rugby player is once again made headlines in the pro wrestling world.
Ridge Holland and Sheamus faced Pretty Deadly in a tag team match this past Friday on SmackDown. Holland hit a Belly-to-Belly Suplex on Elton Prince during the match. The 26-year-old awkwardly landed on the canvas. As a result, Prince sustained a shoulder injury.
On the SmackDown LowDown, Elton Prince said that he will be out of action for a few weeks. Kit Wilson said that they will return as better than ever.
On Twitter, Ridge Holland issued a statement after Prince’s shoulder injury. Holland clarified that the injury wasn’t occurred due to his Belly-to-Belly Suplex. He noted that Prince’s wonky landing caused the injury.
“So to set people straight before they get all pissy! It wasn’t the belly to belly…..it was a wonky landing from the pounce.
Out of my control. Wishing @EltonPrince_PD a speedy recovery.”
