Reason For Wheeler Yuta’s Long Absence From AEW

By The Spotlight StaffMay 10, 2024
Reason For Wheeler Yuta's Long Absence From AEW

Wheeler Yuta has been absent from AEW television for several months now. Yuta last competed on the January 12th episode of AEW Rampage, where he lost to Eddie Kingston.

ROH Pure Champion was supposed to team up with BCC at the CMLL event last March. He was replaced by Matt Sydal.

Fightful Select reported that Wheeler Yuta has been dealing with concussion symptoms for a long time. Therefore, AEW has no timetable for his return.

“[Wheeler] Yuta has been dealing with concussion symptoms for months. As of now, we haven’t learned a timetable for his potential return. When we last asked about Yuta in March, the hope was that the injury would not sideline him long. However, that hasn’t been the case. We send our best to Yuta.”
