Reason For Jon Moxley’s Absence From AEW Television

By The Spotlight StaffMarch 22, 2024
Reason For Jon Moxley's Absence From AEW Television

Jon Moxley last competed at AEW Revolution earlier this month. At the show, Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli defeated FTR in a Tag Team match.

Following Sting’s retirement, the AEW World Tag Team Titles have been vacated, and AEW President Tony Khan announced that there will be a tournament to crown the new tag champions. However, BCC members weren’t included in the tournament.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer explained why Jon Moxley has been absent from AEW television and the BCC has been excluded from the Tag Team tournament.

“The team everyone asks about is Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli since they beat FTR on the PPV. Moxley & Castagnoli were in the original version of the tournament, but Moxley has been banged up and has dates in Mexico and Japan over the next few weeks.”
