Reason For Braun Strowman’s WWE Release

By The Spotlight StaffMay 4, 2025
Reason For Braun Strowman's WWE Release

On Friday, Braun Strowman and several other stars were released from WWE. This was the second time the company has released Strowman. The 41-year-old was let go by WWE in 2021 as part of budget cuts and was rehired in September 2022.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted that Braun Strowman was released from WWE due to his high salary.

“He is the one that, the salary was high. One person told me that they felt he was paid more than how they were using him, I guess is the best way to put it, but salary played a part in this.”
