Raquel Rodriguez made her main roster debut on the April 29th, 2022, episode of SmackDown. Rodriguez has won the Women’s Tag Team Championship three times. She faced Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Title a couple of times but failed to capture the title each time. The 32-year-old last competed on the December 3rd WWE Live Event, where she lost to Nia Jax.
On Instagram, Raquel Rodriguez posted a video clip and revealed that she has been diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. She said that MCAS prevented her from doing the things she loves, such as traveling, going to the gym, and wrestling. The former Women’s Tag Team Champion added that she is getting huge support from her family during this difficult time.
“So long story short, last year, I posted a video about being a WWE superstar with eczema, and in the month of December, it got progressively worse and I’ve been diagnosed with something called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Basically, I was red and swollen, there was a lot happening in this area (upper body) physically. It kept me from doing the things that I love like traveling, going to the gym, and wrestling and I also didn’t wanna be on camera, I didn’t wanna look in the mirror and I understand that all of those things can mess with someone both emotionally and mentally but thank God I moved back to Texas when I did because I had the best support system in the world during this time which is my family. I am so grateful to them and everything they’ve done for me and to you guys as well who have sent me kind messages and reminded me that I didn’t have to go through this alone.”
