Roman Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Title by defeating Jey Uso with help from Jimmy Uso at SummerSlam. Paul Heyman later appeared in the SummerSlam post-show press conference and said that The Bloodline storyline was still in the bottom of the third inning.
On the latest episode of “The Kurt Angle Show” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle discussed Paul Heyman’s comment about The Bloodline storyline. Angle said that the storyline is great, but WWE is closer to finishing the saga.
“The storyline is great, I love it, but I think Heyman was full of s–t. I think they’re in the eighth inning, and they’re stressed. They’re making s–t up now. That’s what I believe. Paul Heyman, I know him, and I know that he’s probably going crazy right now, ‘What do we do next?”
