Two weeks ago, Paige announced on her social media that her current WWE contract expires on July 7th, 2022. Also, the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion noted that the company told her that they don’t renew her contract.
However, today UK-based wrestling promotion called “World Association of Wrestling” has announced that Saraya, formerly known as Paige, will be returning to their Fightmare IV event on Saturday, October 15th, 2022, at the Norfolk Showground Arena in Norwich, UK.
Former WWE Divas Champion Paige last wrestled in a WWE live event in December 2017, where she suffered a severe neck injury. That injury shorted her WWE in-ring career and caused her to retire from the in-ring competition. On the 9th April 2018 episode of Monday Night RAW, Paige announced her in-ring retirement. Then she worked with WWE as an on-screen manager and “WWE Backstage” program analyzer.
