NJPW New Year Dash 2024 took place today at the Sumida City Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

Here are the results of the show.

  • NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Ryusuke Taguchi to retain the NJPW World Television Championship. After the match, Matt Riddle’s vignette aired, and he challenged Tanahashi to a match. Tanahashi grabbed a microphone and said that he didn’t know who Riddle was. NJPW World TV Champion said that he would do some research.
  • Bishamon (Yoshi-Hashi & Hirooki Goto) defeated Kaito Kiyomiya and Ryohei Oiwa in a Tag Team match.
  • Guerrillas of Destiny (El Phantasmo & Hikuleo) defeated Oskar Leube and Yuto Nakashima in a Tag Team match.
  • Shota Umino, Tama Tonga, El Desperado, Master Wato, Togi Makabe, and Tomoaki Honma defeated the House of Torture (Evil, Ren Narita, Sho, Yujiro Takahashi, Dick Togo, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) in a 12-Man Tag Team match.
  • The 10-Man Tag Team match between United Empire (Will Ospreay, Henare, Jeff Cobb, TJP, and Francesco Akira) and The Bullet Club War Gods (David Finlay, Alex Coughlin, Drilla Moloney, Gabriel Kidd, and Clark Connors) ended in a No Contest.
  • Just 5 Guys (Sanada, Taka Michinoku, Yuya Uemura, Douki, and Taichi) defeated Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, Bushi, Hiromu Takahashi, and Yota Tsuji) in a 10-Man Tag Team match.
  • Taiji Ishimori defeated Toru Yano, Yoh, and Great-O-Khan in a Four-Way scramble match to become the inaugural Provisional KOPW 2024 Champion.
  • TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr., Shane Haste, Kosei Fujita, and Mikey Nicholls) defeated Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley) and Chaos (Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii) in an 8-Man Tag Team match.
