MVP Explains Why He Decided Not To Re-Sign With WWE

MVP left WWE after his contract expired in August. The 51-year-old made his All Elite Wrestling debut on the September 25th episode of AEW Dynamite. MVP formed the Hurt Syndicate alongside Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin on AEW television a week ago.

In an interview with Drop The Heat, MVP was asked about his WWE departure. The former WWE star said that he left the company because of new management.

“I left the first time to go to Japan. This time, I didn’t want to re-sign, and I let it be known that I wasn’t gonna re-sign because the new management [is] in place. Any time, I don’t care where you work; whatever you do for a living, when new management comes in, it’s good for some people and not good for other people. Some people, new people, come in, [and] old people go. So, I just felt that it was definitely time to go because the new management just wasn’t for me, and I ain’t for him.”
