Mustafa Ali joined WWE in 2016. After spending in WWE NXT and 205 Live, Ali was brought back to SmackDown in 2018. However, the management saw him as a mid-card talent throughout his WWE career.

Last May, Mustafa Ali returned to WWE NXT. Ali competed against Dominik Mysterio and Wes Lee for the North American Title at Great American Bash last July. Ali’s last match took place on the September 5th episode of NXT, where he defeated Dragon Lee.

Today, the 37-year-old issued a statement on X and revealed that he is no longer working with WWE.

“I am longer working with WWE.
I look forward to the future.
Thank you,
-Adeel”

“No longer*. Sorry for the confusion.”
