Mercedes Mone Takes Shot At WWE After AEW Double Or Nothing

Mercedes Mone competed for the first time in All Elite Wrestling at AEW Double or Nothing last night. At the show, Mone defeated Willow Nightingale to become the new TBS Champion.

The CEO appeared at the Double or Nothing post-show media scrum, where she took a shot at her former employer, WWE. Mercedes Mone said that they showed everyone last night that WWE is not the only place. Mone also said that AEW has the best wrestlers.

“It feels so incredible. I’ve been waiting for this moment really ever since I got signed to AEW, but really for the past two years of not knowing where I was going to be, what was going to happen after leaving WWE, what was going to be next for me. Because a lot of time in wrestling, people think that WWE is the only place, and I think tonight we showed the wrestling world that it’s not the only place. AEW is where the best wrestle and we had the greatest show tonight celebrating five years of this incredible company where we cannot be denied, and we are just going to show wrestling fans around the world that this is the place to celebrate wrestling because this is the best place to be.”
