Last week on RAW, Matt Riddle and Kevin Owens challenged The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. However, they were unable to win the titles.
Riddle was then brutally attacked by Solo Sikoa after the match. As a result, Riddle was stretchered out of the arena. Later on SmackDown, Michael Cole said that The Original Bro will be out of action for six weeks.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam has reported that Matt Riddle failed a drug test under Vince McMahon’s regime last July. That was the reason why his match against Seth Rollins was postponed to Clash at the Castle PLE. The current WWE regime has told Riddle if he fails another drug test he would go to rehab or get fired. Recently, Matt Riddle failed another drug test which was the reason why he was written off from television.
“I was able to confirm that the reason that WWE wrote Riddle of TV is because he has failed another drug test and will be sent to rehab. The belief going around is that he has already entered treatment, or will be going in soon as most programs run for 30 days and he would need to be finished in time for his return in six weeks.
I asked for clarification on what exactly came up on the failed test, but it should be noted that WWE no longer tests for marijuana.”
