Matt & Jeff Hardy Frustrated With Their AEW Booking

Jeff Hardy made his All Elite Wrestling debut on the March 9th, 2022 episode of Dynamite, where he reunited with his brother Matt Hardy. The Hardys were supposed to receive a huge push last year. However, those plans were canceled due to Jeff Hardy being arrested for DUI in June of last year.

On the “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt and Jeff Hardy expressed their frustration regarding the creative direction in AEW. Matt said he and his brother have a great spot in the company if they use them correctly.

“I think it’s very important just to state that I feel like there’s such a great spot for us at AEW if we’re just utilized in the correct way… I mean, just creatively, like just the way we’ve been utilized like the last four months, it’s been very frustrating. We’ve been very patient, but there has been a lot of frustration, things we’ve done, and kind of how we’ve been utilized in some ways.”

Jeff Hardy then discussed his AEW run.

“When I first came back [to AEW], it was pretty exciting. I didn’t know what was going to be happening in the near future. I think the last time I was in this, you know, Extreme Dimension of your podcast, I said in WWE, I felt like I was a ghost just walking around backstage, and honestly, man, I kind of still feel like that at AEW, just because not being involved in something, you know, cool.”
