Matt Hardy Responds To Fans' Criticism Of Jeff's Botch Move On AEW Rampage

The Hardys and Mark Briscoe faced Butcher, Blade, and Kip Sabian in a Trios match on the January 5th episode of AEW Rampage. Briscoe picked up the victory for the team after hitting a Froggy Bow on Sabian.

At one point during the match, Jeff Hardy performed a Corner Splash off of Matt Hardy’s back. However, Jeff slipped and wasn’t able to execute the move properly. The botched move was widely talked about in the internet wrestling community.

On X, Matt Hardy responded to fans’ criticism as follows:

“Correct. Jeff slipped. It happens all the time in wrestling. Jeff sometimes slipped in the 90s, the 00s, the 10s & he will slip in the 20s. The people on social media that are trying to create the narrative that Jeff’s not good or whatever the f-ck are pathetic & merely haters.”
